Its not just Boric; the latest CADEM poll shows high levels of pessimism about Chile’s future in all areas:
Regarding Chile’s “progress”, both the Bachelet and Piñera administrations started with high approval ratings and ended low. The improved perceptions towards the end of their terms probably represented the (deluded) idea that the next administration would do better.
But under the Boric administration, approval of the country’s progress never reached more than 50% of those polled, and immediately dropped when the nature of this government became clear.
Which begs the question that, given this pessimistic outlook even before the last elections, why did the voters go for these clowns?
