Just wondering, how many here get those email surveys. I have been responding to Sondeo and possibly others for the past couple of years? You can bet my anti-commie, anti-Octubrista, anti-elite stance is made well known and is really not out of line with the native working and middle class during the past 4 years when they finally post the results no matter how cooked at the edges.
BTW, the latest one I did should be quite revealing:

De nada, país al que emigré legalmente.
I wonder how long it will be before Chile adopts the UK’s policy of making it a felony offence to express an opinion.
Or the US for that matter.
The UK has been demonstrably worse in matters of prosecuting citizens for expressing even mild opinions. Their prosecutors have even represented (threatened) that they would go after nonresident Americans and others outside of the country for publishing opinions related to UK social and political matters. While the US has seen occasional outbreaks of the stifling of written expression, the UK now far surpasses those transgressions.
And since Chilean policy-makers tend to select the worst of evolving practices from other nations, it may be only a matter of time before comparable suppression of opinion is to be seen here.
Suddenly, the Trump government doesn’t seem so comparatively extreme and silly after all.

Well, pretty Camila was supposed to head the Boric government’s truth ministry but of course the gov is too busy covering up their monthly scandals.
We are reminded that the Chilean Left has continued to insist on a punishable prohibition related to anyone openly acknowledging the works of former president Pinochet.
The last time I was in Aysén, this monument was still standing, and the local people are prepared to fight for it. Diputados want the local community to decide whether or not to keep it.
