Costco, So Cal, no Chilean wine?

I’m here in the Empire in a very blue urban area in the bluest of States and the Costco for some reason has no Chilean wine when in the past, it was a staple item.

They have Argentine wines but what happened to the Chilean wines? Evidence of the mismanagement and/or decline of certain Chilean economic sectors?

Not to whine about wine or anything…

Sorry to hear about having to suffer from time in that blue state. It will pass.

Last year there was news of reduced production and lower exports, esp exports to the US, with more Chilean wine going to China, while CL wine due to inflation here had become non-competitive for US wholesalers (and presumably the likes of your Costco). Had to look for the article and found this one instead:

Spain now overtaking costly CL wine in México

Thanks for the possible explanation.
