Keep buying newspapers this winter so I have something to light the fire with, but I am actually learning a lot. Somehow, it’s quite a bit better than reading news online only.
Las Ultimas Noticias today reports that car insurance in 2022 is double that of 2021 (and based on a table of solid data, not anecdotes) and gives reasons as:
—Cars are more expensive, so insurance is more expensive.
—Increase in thefts.
—Harder to get mechanics.
—Repairs more expensive and hard to get parts.
—Peso-dollar effects.
I have also had the same experience of seeing quotes go up a lot.
